Police in Moulvibazar have arrested a suspected active worker of the banned student organization BangladeshStudent League, identified as Sagar (21), in connection with an attack during the anti-discrimination student movement on July 18.

Sagar was apprehended on Thursday (June 12) at around 11:30 PM from the Press Club intersection area in the outskirts of Moulvibazar town.

Police sources indicate that the arrested individual, Sagar, was an active member of the banned Chhatra League organization. He is accused of assaulting and injuring students during the July movement in Moulvibazar.

Moulvibazar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Gazi Md. Mahbubur Rahman confirmed the arrest, stating, "He is accused of attacking students during the anti-discrimination student movement and was arrested as an accused in a case related to the student movement."
