A Fruit Festival 2026 was held in Moulvibazar with the aim of promoting health awareness, nutrition education, and love for nature. The event was organized by Human Rights Defender Society (HRDS), Moulvibazar, in collaboration with Parrots Academy.
The festival took place at 3:00 PM on Thursday, June 18, at the Parrots Academy Moulvibazar Campus.
The program was presided over by Jaber Ahmed, President of HRDS Moulvibazar District Branch, and hosted by Ali Ahmed Mahin, General Secretary of the organization.
The chief guest was Nurul Islam Sheful, Secretary of the Moulvibazar Press Club. Special guests included Hossain Ahmed, Moulvibazar Correspondent of Jugantor; Tahreem Hossain Tayef, Chief Executive of Parrots Academy; Ashraf Ali, Moulvibazar Correspondent of Gazi TV; Naim Zaman, IELTS Instructor at Parrots Academy; Shah Newaz Chowdhury Sumon, Moulvibazar Correspondent of NTV Europe; Ripon Ahmed, Correspondent of Bangladesh Samachar; and Sohad Ahmed Khan, Founder of Proyojon App.
Also present were Abdul Aziz, Moulvibazar District Correspondent of Daily Naya Diganta; Kamran Ahmed, Joint General Secretary of HRDS Moulvibazar District Branch; Kamran Alam, Publicity Secretary; Kaniz Fatema Pinky, Secretary for Victim Support Affairs; Sheikh Amirunnesa Alo, Secretary for Women and Children Affairs; and other leaders and members.
In their speeches, the guests emphasized that fruits are an essential part of a daily diet. They highlighted the importance of developing the habit of eating fruits regularly among children for their physical and mental development. They noted that a healthier society can be built by choosing nutritious fruits instead of fast food and other unhealthy foods.
The speakers praised the organizers for arranging such a unique event and encouraged them to continue organizing similar awareness-building programs in the future.
