According to Farooq-E-Azam, advisor to the ministries of liberation war affairs and disaster management, the present problem is getting worse as a result of the latest Rohingya inflow.

He said these things on Tuesday night at a press conference held at the Office of the Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner in Cox’s Bazar.

“We want the Rohingyas to return to Myanmar with dignity as soon as possible,” stated Farooq-E-Azam.

He continued, “We are not facilitating any infiltration, but they are entering through various means,” in reference to the recent arrivals. It’s a matter of human welfare. We are unable to provide a precise count of the most recent arrivals because registration is still pending.”

Regarding security at the Rohingya camps, the adviser emphasized that authorities have been instructed to remain vigilant, ensuring that the security of both the camps and the local population remains intact.

Earlier in the day, Farooq visited several Rohingya camps in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar, where he interacted with Rohingya refugees and officials from government and private development organizations.
