Awami League leader Sadrul will plant 6 thousands neem trees in a month

Awami League Finance and Planning Sub-Committee Member, Squadron Leader (Retd.) Sadrul Ahmed Khan has taken up the program of planting neem trees in 13 unions and municipal areas of Kulaura Upazila.

He took up this program on the initiative of Abdul Latif Foundation on the occasion of the founding anniversary of Awami League on 23rd June. The program started from the area adjacent to Shamsernagar Air Force Station on Tuesday (June 6) morning.

After the inception, five hundred neem trees have been planted in Chatlapur Tea Garden, Health & Family Welfare Center, Union Parishad, Chatlaghat Madrasa, Government Primary School, Manoharpur High School, Durga Mandir, Amtal Bazar, Keolakandi of Hajipur Union, Baliati, Peer Bazar, Post Office, Rajanpur, Madinatul. Ulum Madrasa, Union Parishad, Manu Railway Station, Katarkona Bazar, Naya Bazar KC High School & College, Salna of Tilagaon Union, Isabpur, Gander Garh, Tilagaon Railway Station, Tilagaon Post Office, Union Parishad, Naya Bazar.

Local Awami League leaders and activists, people’s representatives, local educators, student-teachers, and environmentally conscious people during the planting of trees in different areas.

In this regard, Sadrul Ahmed Khan said that the father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman loved to plant trees and, the tree-planting campaign that they carried out every year was started by Bangabandhu in 1972.

He further said that this program was basically an initiative of Abdul Latif Foundation on the occasion of the founding anniversary of Awami League on 23rd June. He added that 6,000 neem trees would be planted in the month-long program.
