Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser of the interim administration, began work at the former Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon, Dhaka, on Sunday.

Shafiqul Alam, the press secretary for the chief adviser, has stated that this would now function as the chief adviser’s office.

Following the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government on August 5 amidst protests, Dr Yunus took charge of the interim government on August 8. Since then, the chief adviser has been doing his office work at State Guest House, Jamuna.

On Sheikh Hasina’s departure day, vandalism rendered the Ganabhaban and the former Prime Minister’s Office unfit.

After 15 days of repair work, the office for the interim government has been prepared.

The nameplates inside and outside the office have been changed, and security measures have been enhanced.

The seating arrangements for all relevant officials of the chief adviser have also been properly arranged.
