Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser, has advised the public not to impose their own laws.
He remarked, “No one should take the law into their own hands,” in a speech to the country on Wednesday. If someone does this and causes chaos in society, they will undoubtedly face consequences.”
Dr Yunus said: “We are committed to shaping a democratic Bangladesh for our children and ours. We are working towards a goal where we do not fall under any dictatorship, where we can say that we live in a democratic country, where everyone can claim this country as their own.”
“We are a country of communal harmony. No one should engage in any activity that could destroy religious harmony,” he added.
