The new committee has been announced in the general meeting and 2nd council of ‘Campaign for Media Freedom (CMF)’, an organization of young Bangladeshi journalists stationed at home and abroad.
On Saturday (August 20), Chief Election Commissioner Ahmed Bakht Chowdhury and Election Commissioner Munzer Ahmed Chowdhury announced a 21-member committee with Moulvibazar representative of daily Jugantar Hossain Ahmed as president and Md Forhad Hossain, Rajnagar representative of daily Jaijaidin as general secretary.
Earlier on Thursday evening at Moulvibazar Press Club, a general meeting and election of a new committee in the council was completed.
The other members of the committee are – Vice-President Ashraf Ali (Sylhet Mirror), AJ Lovlu (Ajker Patrika), Associate General Secretary Ahmadur Rahman Imran (Bhorer Dak), MA Kaiyum (NTV Europe), Organizing Secretary Omar Faruk Nayem (Dhaka Post), Office Editor Kamran Ahmad (Jagrato Sylhet), Publicity Editor Mohammad Mubin Khan (AsiaBD24), Finance Editor Masum Bookhs Mahi (Dhaka Report 24), Sports Editor Ripon Ahmad (Bangladesh Samachar), Social Welfare Editor Saifullah Hasan (Jurir Somoy), Information and Technology Editor KB Khan Bijoy (Cyber Safety First Bangladesh), International Editor Md Hasan Ahmad (Moulvibazar Pratidin).
